Clip description

Mumble (voiced by Elijah Wood) has been expelled from the colony. His dancing upsets the elders, but he finds that Adelie penguins have a much more open attitude. His new best friends – five party-loving Argentinean Adelies, led by the dashing Ramon (voiced by Robin Williams) – climb with him to the top of the ridge. They jump off for the long and eventful ride to the sea.

This is a good example of how good the digital animation is in Happy Feet, and why it won the 2007 Oscar for best animated feature film. The climb to the ridge is shown through a thrilling aerial shot that leads into a series of fantastic fast-action close-ups of the penguins sliding down the mountain. The detail in the faces of the penguins, the sophistication of the lighting effects and camera moves, were all cutting edge at the end of 2006, when the film was released.

Thanks to the generosity of the rights holders, we are able to offer 'I love gravity' from the feature film Happy Feet as a high quality video download.
