'Sacrifice, while there is still time'

This clip chosen to be G

Clip description

Grace (Dorothy Dickson) has received a letter from her soldier boyfriend Jim, who has been blinded while fighting overseas. Filled with inspiration from his letter, Grace reads it to her co-workers at the munitions factory. The letter urges her and her friends to continue to 'hang on to the end’, to 'save and lend to your austerity loan’ and, most of all, to 'sacrifice – while there is still time’. A blind Jim (Peter Finch) reads the final words from the battlefront before the screen fades to black.
