Clip description

After receiving his first pay after finding a job in Suva, Jale sits down in a Chinese café to eat a meal. The waitress comes over to him and he points to the menu in slight confusion, before she suggests a dish. When she brings it out to him, Jale struggles with the chopsticks. Later, Jale enters a clothes shop where the Indian tailor sells him a shirt. Unable to pay his rent, he visits his cousin Adriu in the medical labs where he expresses his unhappiness. The voice-over narrates that the ‘city can be more lonely than a small island for a young man with not enough money’.
