Clip description

A team of rowers pass under the Swan Hill drawbridge on the Murray River. A paddle-steamer takes passengers down the Murray River. Different angles from the steamer capture views of the Murray River and the surrounding landscape.

In this clip the filmmaker uses a technique called an iris-in. This technique involves adjusting a diaphragm in front of the lens which controls the amount of light. When the diaphram is opening (an iris-in), it begins a shot. When it is closing (iris-out), it ends a shot.
