We are introduced to John Stacey and Dallas McNamara. The young rodeo riders talk about their passion for the sport, and John’s father Brenton is on hand to offer his son moral support. Dallas tells us how he started riding sheep, then poddy calves, before graduating to bulls.

The focus and passion of the young men defy their years. The framing of the subjects, as well as the colour and lighting as they talk to camera, captures the essence of their environment, and with the sound of the rodeo blasting in the background, we are immersed in this world.
