Original classification rating: G. This clip chosen to be G

Clip description

Joan Goodwin (age 73), May Pennefather (age 75) and Audrey Blake (age 68) each talk about their childhood growing up in Australia during the 1930s Depression.

Curator’s notes

Being introduced to each of the women via their childhoods both visually and through interview is very important to the telling of their stories. It helps us understand the choices each of the women made in their lives and how their childhood informed those choices. It also gives us a personal entry into history.
Beautifully shot by Laurie McInnes, each interviewee promises to be engaging.
