Synopsis
The documentary looks at Poland in 1991 through the eyes of journalist national, Beata Ligman. She visits different areas of her country talking to the ordinary people about their lives. Reference is made to the German occupation during the Second World War, communism, socialism and democracy under Lech Wałęsa.

The film is an interesting report using interviews, archival footage and observations by Ligman on the hopes and economic possibilities for Poland in 1991. Narrator Steve Bisley gives the work a sombre tone. Filmmaker David Bradbury has many credits to his name including Fond Memories of Cuba, Wamsley’s War, Jabiluka and Loggerheads.
