Clip description

Fraser visits Wollongong where he has lunch with steel workers. Things don’t go quite to plan as the lunch is overwhelmed by media and company executives. He meets local supporters and is then interviewed at the local radio station. Asked about whether there will be an early election, Fraser responds strongly in the negative.

Curator’s notes

The narrator has a running commentary using the time of day throughout the film, letting it control the structure and momentum of the story. On this day, Fraser’s schedule is completely full.
