This sequence looks at the struggles of Australian filmmakers in an international context. It asks if audiences have been colonised by US films and TV, then suggests that other national industries are also pitted against Hollywood domination but that Australia has been particularly badly affected.
Industry figures interviewed include Rolf de Heer, Anthony Hayes, Stephen Basil-Jones and Brendan Cowell.
