Synopsis
The documentary covers a hiking trip to the mountains in a remote area of Irian Jaya. The party consists of an expedition leader, a mountain climber, a biologist, two filmmakers and 70 indigenous carriers. The film also uses historical footage to outline the political history of the country.

Filmmaker Chris Hilton’s record of his journey gives a good sense of mountain climbing and is an unusual glimpse into this remote area. Writer, producer, director Hilton’s credits include The Colony, Advertising Missionaries, The Last Husky, The Serpent and the Cross and Year of the Dogs.
