Clip description

Zoologist Andrew Dennis explains the vital link he has found between the hypsi (the musky rat-kangaroo) and the giant fruit trees in its native habitat Far North Queensland. Seventy percent of the rainforest has been cleared and the survival of the hypsi is totally dependent on the rainforest.

Curator’s notes

A neat and concise summary of the zoologist’s results, with a moving plea for the future of the hypsi and its rapidly disappearing rainforest habitat.
