Clip description

Australian Dr Helen Caldicott has been campaigning for the abolition of the nuclear program for thirty years. In the 1980s she convinced 23,000 doctors to join the Physicians for Social Responsibility. Senator Edward Kennedy acknowledges Dr Caldicott for her commitment. The director, her niece, provides the commentary. Actor and activist Martin Sheen talks about the difficulty of protest under the Bush administration.

Curator’s notes

Dr Caldicott speaks with conviction as she campaigns for a nuclear-free world.
