First Australians – Episode 1, They Have Come to Stay (2008)
-
In this episode professor Janet McCalman says the prehistoric Australian population was 1.6 billion people. Can this be true? Does it mean a cumulative value across millions of years or a point value? Until now we have been told that the world population has been growing at a steady rate during prehistoric times and at an exponential rate. The above mentioned figure would mean a catastrofic reduction at some point of time.
