Clip description

Bruce Samazan went from brickie’s labourer to soap star in an instant. He won a Logie for Most Popular Talent in Australian TV. He is the only actor to have long running roles in E Street, Neighbours and Home and Away. He was 'handsome, girls loved him, mums adored him and men tolerated him’. Lizzy Gardiner interviews him about that time at the top and life after soapie stardom.

Curator’s notes

Bruce Samazan was everywhere to be seen in the gossip magazines. His trajectory to the heavens and rapid descent is a well worn path for TV series actors, especially the young ones.
