Charles Ulm (c.1928)

  1. Dear Poppy,
    I am pretty sure the man in the picture is not Charles Ulm. In 1928,Ulm had only rudimentary flying experience and no pilot's licence. In the 1927 circumnavigation, Kingsford Smith did the flying. You do not mention that in 1928 Smith and Ulm were first to fly the Pacific, from America to Australia. Smith did not die until 1935,during an England - Australia flight.
