In Western Australia, in the midst of shark-infested waters two kilometres from the coastline and six hours from medical facilities, the Abberton brothers surf one of the most dangerous, heaviest waves in Australia – Cyclops.
Curator’s notes
Bra Boys captures some spectacular surf footage of the Abberton brothers (particularly Koby) on waves throughout Australia and internationally. The brothers’ deep bonds and sense of adventure are evident in this clip, but it is their skill as surfers that has allowed them to move beyond the boundaries of Maroubra and explore further horizons. This surfing expedition was to celebrate Jai’s acquittal on the murder charge.
