Clip description

Laith Stevens is speaking to his team members while others are digging around the bomb. Stevens explains the danger and calls to speak to the teachers.

Curator’s notes

The children have found a second bomb buried deep in a road between their two schools. Stevens has rushed back to the village with his team. He has to quickly give his inexperienced workers an intensive training course so they can remove the second live bomb immediately because of its location. Stevens shows much care for his team and the villagers, especially the children. He also jokes that if it explodes, ‘We’d all be gone, we’d be dead, just vaporised, pink mist’. Pink mist is all that’s left when someone is blown up by a bomb.
