This clip shows houses that have been burnt to the ground. At the site of one house, the only parts that remain standing are the brick stove or fire place. Residents are seen fighting off the flames surrounding their house in an attempt to save it from the oncoming fires. Strong winds fan the blaze. Three children sit in the archway of the only remaining structure of their house. This clip also shows how the township of Powelltown looked before the fires swept through.
