Clip description
We are introduced to the history of the Carey family’s long business association with cars. In what was formerly the family home Carey parts the venetian blind to reveal a view of the car yard and the street below as he speaks of how he constructs his fictions. The subjective view through the blind morphs into a model of Bacchus Marsh.
Curator’s notes
This is an example of how the film merges the writer’s subjectivity with autobiographical information.
