Synopsis
This black-and-white advertisement tells a simple story of how a good intentioned young girl helps grant her mother’s wish to have a washing day that does not require long hours of scrubbing.

Before the advent of television, cinema advertisements often took a form of a short film. With a defined plot and resolution, the advertisement would present a problem and solve it by the use of the product. The short narrative often included product demonstrations.
