Fourth Liberty Loan (1943)

Synopsis

This black-and-white cinema advertisement urges theatre-goers to support the war effort by buying national savings stamps and investing them in the Fourth Liberty Loan.

Curator’s notes

A Fourth Liberty Loan campaign was launched to encourage people to buy national savings stamps to contribute to the war effort. Official parades, tours, street stalls and cinema advertisements, like this one, were all used to promote this patriotic responsibility.
