Paul Byrnes’s essay on Water in Australian Cinema is ASO’s first themed overview of material on the website, published in a new section called ‘Collections’.

Already populating Collections are the groupings of historical material, such as the Snowy Hydro Collection, that were previously published on the site under ‘series’.

In ‘Collections’ you’ll find historical film collections, such as the Chesterman Collection, as well as titles grouped together by their common filmmaker such as the home movie collections, or by their sponsor, such as the Australia Post collection. And now there’s also our new, themed overviews that draw from material right across the site.
