Clip description

Performing again, Li’l Elvis (Stig Wemyss) wistfully looks out the door at his friend Lionel (Kylie Belling) playing marbles. WC Moore (Bill Ten Eyck) arrives and wins all the marbles by cheating. Meanwhile, when Li’l Elvis tells his parents he wants to be a normal kid, not an Elivis impersonator, his mother is aghast, 'What about your fans, what about the bank, what about the king!’.

Curator’s notes

This clip from early in episode one introduces L’il Elvis (Stig Wemyss), his parents Grace (Lynda Gibson) and Len Jones (David Cotter), their run down roadhouse, and some key characters – his friend Lionel (Kylie Belling), and the series baddie WC Moore (Bill Ten Eyck). WC Moore’s character provides much of the conflict and humour in the series along with his mistreated, obsequious chauffeur Duncan (Michael Veitch). Duncan is the all-important sidekick, the fall guy for much of the slapstick humour.
