It begins with the Duke and Duchess of York arriving at Farm Cove, Sydney on the royal barge. The official party salute their Royal Highnesses as they disembark from the barge. A decorative platform was made especially for the occasion and hundreds of thousands of Sydneysiders watched on with great excitement.
The Lord Mayor of Sydney, JH Mostyn, then extends a welcome on behalf of the citizens of Sydney.
