Clip description

Graham ‘Stork’ Wallace (Bruce Spence), after a few lunchtime beers with his mate Westy (Graeme Blundell), throws off the conventions of his staid workplace, the design department at General Motors Holden. He takes off his clothes, proclaims his freedom, and gets the sack.

Curator’s notes

Burstall’s humour often combines verbal exaggeration with slapstick visuals (the underwear). The casting of Spence is itself a kind of exaggeration, given his great height.
