Leonie (Linda Blair) tells Joe (Jerome Ehlers) she is leaving him. She believes he is responsible for a series of murders, one of which she has helped cover up for him.
Curator’s notes
Leonie’s dream of a new life with seductive stranger Joe has turned into a nightmare. In plot terms the question of whether Joe is a killer remains unanswered, though not in Leonie’s estimation. Her belief that she is implicated in the crimes ups the emotional intensity of the scene.
