Members of Mawson’s 1911 Antarctic expedition team endeavour to work in gale-force winds and freezing conditions.
This clip illustrates the treacherous conditions faced by Mawson and his expedition party as well as the extreme conditions Frank Hurley battled to produce his films.
Thanks to the generosity of the rights holders, we are able to offer Gale force winds from the documentary Home of the Blizzard as a high quality video download.
