Soundtrack to summer

What were you listening to last summer? Can you wind back 50 summers and remember the sound of Slim Dusty’s classic Pub With No Beer. Or 30 plus years for Billy Thorpe’s Most People I Know (Think That I’m Crazy) at the legendary Sunbury rock festival?

Perhaps you were jiving to Daddy Cool’s Eagle Rock, driving down to the beach to Col Joye’s Bye, Bye Baby or starting off a backyard barbecue with the familiar flute opening of Down Under by Men at Work.

Do you have your favourite summer sound? The NFSA is asking you to share it on Facebook.

Eagle Rock music – 1971

Bye Bye Baby music – 1959

Down Under music – 1981

A Pub With No Beer music – 1957
