Clip description

This teaser features Carole (Keenan MacWillian) and Stevie (Sophie Bennett) as they ride cross country. Stevie hopes that a pre-lesson gallop will calm her pony Comanche. Meanwhile a very nervous Lisa (Lara Jean Marshall) is being driven (too fast) to Pine Hollow Stables by her overbearing mother Eleanor (Marie-Louise Walker). Lisa makes a less-than-perfect first impression when the car nearly collides with Stevie and Lisa on their horses. The title sequence introduces the characters and the world of the Saddle Club to the series’ theme song, ‘Hello World’.

Curator’s notes

In a dramatic opening in which the main theme of the episode is established, this teaser also effectively sets up three central characters that, by episode’s end, will have formed the Saddle Club. We meet the nervous Lisa, cautious Carole and feisty Stevie. In the title sequence Pine Hollow and some featured inhabitants are introduced: there’s the petulant rival Veronica, motherly Mrs Reg, a fleeting anonymous kiss, manager Max, and all the action and excitement of stable life. The signature song ‘Hello World’ featured on the first of a series of successful music albums associated with The Saddle Club.
