Clip description

This story, ‘Born Loser’, is set in the Wakadoo Café (puppets) dimension of Lift Off. Nearly, the woebegone waiter, loses at everything he does and he is sick of it. Zelda tells him he needs to work very hard at trying to win. Wolf tells him it’s all in his mind. In the end both lots of advice help him to succeed.

The atmosphere in the Wakadoo Café puppet world is bright, chaotic and a bit wacky. The Wakadoo characters are one dimensional, with clearly defined and set personalities, in contrast to the more complex human characters in Lift Off. This fits the simple relationship issues and strong moral messages of their stories.
