Clip description

Russell Jeavons is a chef who was becoming burnt out with the daily grind of cooking and baking for a living until he discovered the backyard oven.

Russell Jeavons thinks he’s discovered the perfect lifestyle. Instead of exhausting himself day in and day out as a chef and baker, he now runs courses once a week in building home made brick ovens and then teaching the baking and cooking skills needed to properly use the backyard oven.

His clients are often fathers and their newly married sons who are bonding in a quite unique way. The fathers are used to pottering in their sheds, and keen to learn how to build the ovens, while the sons seem are interested in learning the baking and cooking skills. The camaraderie is complete when the group sit down to eat the pizzas cooked to perfection in the brick oven.
