Maps (Daniel Radcliffe) meets Lucy (Teresa Palmer) for the first time on his own at a rocky outcrop high above the sea. She tells him that the stones were left by aliens and flirts with him in a very provocative way. They share a cigarette.

Curator’s notes

Loss of innocence and the pain of adulthood is a strong theme of the film and explored through the character of Maps. He is older than the other three boys and takes his big brother role seriously, but he is growing apart from them because of his transition into manhood.

Like Daniel Radcliffe, Teresa Palmer is also familiar to international audiences. Since making December Boys and 2:37 in Australia in 2006, she moved to Hollywood and has appeared alongside Adam Sandler in Bedtime Stories (2008), Nicolas Cage in The Sorceror’s Apprentice (2010) and played a key role in I Am Number Four (2011).
