Clip description

The navy step up their operation to catch Rick Gallagher (Martin Lynes) and his shipment of deadly toxins before they leave Australian waters. At headquarters, Commander Steve Marshall (Steve Bisley) discovers his trace on Gallagher’s ship has been lost. Meanwhile, on HMAS Hammersley the Executive Officer, Lieutenant Kate McGregor (Lisa McCune), discusses the toxin with a nervous Nav, Nikki Caetano (Saskia Burmeister), and ET (David Lyons). The CO, Lieutenant Commander Mike Flynn (Ian Stenlake), and Federal Agent Greg Murphy (Chris Stollery) arrive with the news of the missing trace – it’s time to make a new plan of attack.

Curator’s notes

Cometh the Hour sets up its action storyline and starts building pace in these early inter-cutting scenes between headquarters and the ship. The series’s large budget is on display in soaring views of tropical islands, ships and aeroplanes around the Great Barrier Reef and Mission Beach in far north Queensland.
