Jenny is determined to show her worth to the rest of the group, even if it means tackling abseiling when she has a terror of heights.
Curator’s notes
We live every step of Jenny’s terror as she forces herself over the edge of the precipice, with the ground 80 feet below her. This is a lovely moment when the filmmakers capture the relationship between the team leader of this daunting activity and the girls as he gently encourages Jenny to go where she’s never been before. The abseiling coach gives her the confidence to achieve something she always thought was beyond her. This makes for great television and it’s beautifully filmed with few edits to capture every nail-biting moment. The narration by reporter Paul Williams adds just enough information to help us understand what is happening.
