Clip description

After a futile attempt to speak to the Department of Debt over the phone, Woodman sets out to see them in person.

Agdag builds critiques of a consumption-driven society into the environment, as Woodman looks at advertisments on the tram. In a nice touch, other people in the city become part of the background and its texture, paper silhouettes rather than the carved wood of the protagonist. These shots at ground level allow the Department of Debt to tower over Woodman – a powerful, impenetrable bureaucracy.
