Street Scenes in Perth, Western Australia (1907)

  1. What a marvellous, well-preserved record of life in Perth at the time, the attire, shops and transport. The fist fight looks genuine - perhaps over a girl. Perth was a boom town with plenty of money from the goldfields. Hard to see, but the streets were made of timber blocks, some say jarrah, some say karri.
