Young hearts

'No, there’s nothing half so sweet in life as love’s young dream.’
Thomas Moore

This Valentine’s Day we celebrate 'love’s young dream’ – with all the hope and heartbreak it entails.

Whether you’re loved up or unlucky in love ASO has something to offer you.

The schoolyard and university campus are fertile ground for romance in Flirting (1990), Love and Other Catastrophes (1996, pictured left) and Looking for Alibrandi (1990).

In The Year My Voice Broke (1987) Danny (Noah Taylor) personifies unrequited love as he yearns for his best friend Freya (Loene Carmen). The title characters in Romeo + Juliet (1996) and Samson and Delilah (2009) are star-crossed lovers doomed by their circumstances, although there is at least a prospect of a new start for Samson and Delilah at the end of their film.

ASO has many titles about love and also growing up.
