Sydney: UNESCO City of Film

Celebrating the announcement of Sydney as UNESCO’s second City of Film, here’s a selection of films that show off the different ways the city has been portrayed in cinema. From the revival of the Aussie musical in Starstruck (1982) to the suburban drug culture played out by Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving in Little Fish (2005) and Heath Ledger in Two Hands (1999).

Find out how we supported the bid on the NFSA Blog.
