Two Fists One Heart Three Websites

As Editorial Coordinator, I maintain links on the home page to the official websites of Aussie movies In Cinemas Soon (one month or less from release) and In Cinemas Now. Showing now is Two Fists One Heart, the latest from veteran producer David Elfick. The 2F1H official website that we link to under ‘In Cinemas Now’ is a standard promotional website, with trailer, info on cast & crew, stills gallery and links to a study guide and soundtrack information (image to left from 'Cut Your Own Scene’ website).

But 2F1H also has two satellite websites. On How to Throw a Punch, boxer Rai Fazio, the film’s writer and one of its stars, hosts four video tutorials on boxing technique. Cut Your Own Scene gives you the chance to download and edit rushes from the film, submit your re-cut scene and have it judged by the head of Editing at AFTRS!

Websites like this are still obviously about promoting a product, but it’s great to see them do it in a more creative way than simply slapping up a trailer and a poster. Ideally, they offer a means of engaging with – and extending – the potential audience for an Australian movie.
