Are we exploiting the bushfires?

Is putting a selection of films about bushfires on the home page distasteful or insensitive, as someone suggested today? I thought it was interesting to offer an historical context, particularly to be gained from Black Sunday (1926) as well as
the Konrad Dimpel home movie about the Canberra fires of 2003 (see Dimpel, Konrad: Burned Out Fields Around My Walking Ways). And the early feature films The Squatter’s Daughter (1933) and On Our Selection (1920) show that bushfires have always played a part in our stories and our lives.
