The Flying Doctors – Public Property (1986)

It was a very well scheduled show with one week in studio, one week in Minyip and one week on Melbourne locations - later this was shortened. Tony Cavanagh was the Story Editor for the first 20 or so episodes. Later Gwenda Marsh who has to be congratulated with the way she coordinated the story to accommodate the shooting timetable.
Note that Mark Neal later became a regular character called Marty Jarvis in the series.
The character Max was only in for 4 episodes and was played by Brian Mannix (not Manning). Another reason why the show continued to run was it popularity overseas - particularly Europe. When Peter O'Brien joined the cast, the fan mail was phenomenal.
